I am Anna Deckard

My work is greatly inspired by and supported by my family. I have the most amazing husband who is my best friend and a great father to our two kiddos. Most of my time is devoted to raising my two precious babies. They challenge me and inspire me everyday to be the best version of myself possible. My photography journey began when I picked up a camera in 2022 to capture my first baby and my everyday life. I never imagined it would turn into my dream job that allows me to meet so many new people and capture their stories! I'm thankful everyday that I have the privilege to capture so many people's memories, it truly makes my heart so full.

My philosophy

I believe in an intentional and attentive approach to capturing my subjects and their stories.

I tailor my style and amount of direction to each subject and situation. Some moments are best left candid and untouched while others require gentle prompting and meaningful direction to tell your story. Being able to do this is a unique skill of mine learned through being a quiet observer my whole life. I can read the room with intention and pick up on energy shifts or moments that others might miss. This ability to notice makes my work more thoughtful and sincere.
